Why we built Jyoti

Experience and imagination, brought to life through thoughtful technology.

When Jyoti and Alan met, their worlds looked very different. Jyoti’s path was grounded in yoga, mindfulness and lived teaching. Alan’s was shaped by strategy, systems, innovation and transformation. The overlap was obvious: both cared about helping people live better, and both believed technology should support wellbeing rather than distract from it.

What was missingToo much online yoga ignores the reality of bodies that have lived, worked, raised families, recovered from injuries, managed pain or started to feel the impact of ageing.
What we built insteadA calm digital space with adaptive yoga classes, breathwork, meditation, wellbeing tracking, AI-guided recommendations and a kind community.
What we believeYoga is for every body, and age should never be a barrier. Small, consistent practice matters more than pushing harder.
Our philosophy in plain English

Technology should support wellbeing, not make it feel rushed, cold or complicated.

We want people to pause, breathe, move safely and reconnect with themselves in whatever timeframe is manageable — even if that is only five minutes. The word Jyoti means light in Sanskrit, and that idea sits at the heart of everything we are building.

Real bodies

We design for bodies that have carried stress, managed pain, had surgeries, raised families and kept going.

Real life

Adaptive yoga, chair-based options and Situational Yoga make it easier to practice in ordinary clothes and ordinary places.

Real support

Breathwork, meditation, journalling, statistics and community features make wellbeing broader than just movement.

Real care

Ai Jyoti offers supportive guidance with clear boundaries. It is never a diagnosis and never a substitute for professional care.

Real clarity

Alan’s digital design work keeps the app simple, calm and intuitive so users can find what they need without barriers or overwhelm.

Real light

Our hope is that Jyoti helps people move with more confidence, rest with more ease, feel more connected and bring a little more light into daily life.

Classes beyond the app
